Your Viewing Pleasure

What Cheer Writers Club welcomes the public use of its workshop, podcast, and meeting rooms. However, please be advised that Writers Club members and events have priority.


When scheduling conflicts exist, preference will be given to Writers Club sponsored events and Writers Club members.


Reservations are required to rent rooms (“Rooms”) at Writers Club. All reservations must be made via Writers Club’s General Manager or online booking system. You are required to be present for the entire duration of your rental reservation.

This Terms of Use is executed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island.

Acceptance of Terms

The services What Cheer Writers Club (“Writers Club”) provides to you, the undersigned, are subject to the following Terms of Use (“TOU”).

Description of Services

Writers Club may provide you with access to conference space, event space, Internet access, office equipment, and other services (collectively, "Services"). The Services at all times are subject to the TOU.

Writers Club is not responsible or liable for any failure or delay in providing Services arising out of or caused by forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss of malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services.

Use of services

You agree that when participating in or using the Services, you will not:

  1. Use the Services in connection with contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk email, spamming, or any duplicative or unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise);

  2. Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others;

  3. Upload, download, or otherwise make available, files that contain images, photographs, software or other material protected by intellectual property laws, including, by way of example, and not as a limitation, copyright, trademark laws (or by rights of privacy or publicity) unless you own or control the rights thereto or have received all necessary consent to do the same.

  4. Knowingly upload files that contain viruses, Trojan Horses, Worms, time bombs, cancelbots, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another computer or property of another coworker.

  5. Publish, post, upload, distribute, or disseminate any unlawful content, plagiarized content, intellectual property, or applications and software content that breaks state law

  6. Use any material or information, including images or photographs, which are made available through the services in any manner that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party

  7. Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Services.

  8. Harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including email addresses, without the authorization or consent of the disclosing party.

  9. Distribute or otherwise publish any material containing any solicitation of funds, advertising, or written solicitation for goods and services, without Writers Club express approval.

  10. Violate any applicable laws or regulations; and


Participation in or Use of Services

You acknowledge that you are participating in or using the Services at your own free will and decision. You acknowledge that Writers Club does not have any liability with respect to your access, participation in, use of the Services, or any loss of, loss from theft, or damage of information or personal property resulting from such participation or use.

Writer’s Club is not responsible for any property you leave behind in our Premises. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have retrieved all of your personal items prior to leaving. You must clean up the meeting room and leave it in the condition in which it was found. A fee may be assessed for any special cleaning or repairs.


Guests and Invitees


The maximum guest availability, including you, for Rooms are as follows:


  • Meeting Room 1 - 4 individuals

  • Meeting Room 2 - 6 individuals

  • Board Room - 8 individuals

  • Podcast Room - 4 individuals

  • Workshop Room - 20 individuals

You are liable for the full cost of any damages caused by you or your guest(s) to any property in the space, owned either by the Writers Club or its members. Writer’s Club is not responsible for any property you or your guests leave behind in our Premises. It is your responsibility to ensure that you or your guests have retrieved all personal items prior to leaving.

Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

All rental fees are due at the time of reservation. Cancellation of any Room reservations must be made 24 hours prior to commencement or you will be charged the full amount of your reservation. If cancellation of any Room rental is made before 24 hours prior to commencement, you will be refunded the full amount of your rental fees.

This TOU must be adhered to at all times. Failure to follow this TOU can result in dismissal of you and/or your guests from the Writers Club space with no refund. Writers Club reserves the right to refuse a Room rental to anyone who has previously violated this TOU.


Food and Beverages


Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all meeting rooms, unless special request has been made to serve alcohol with the permission and presence of a Writers Club staff member. Food and drink are welcome and permitted, but arrangements for food delivery, as well as set-up and clean-up, are your sole responsibility. Smoking is not permitted on Writers Club premises.



Writers Club prohibits harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment, and will take appropriate and immediate action in response to complaints or knowledge of violations of this policy. Appropriate action may include immediate expulsion from the premises. For purposes of this policy, harassment is any uninvited or otherwise one-sided verbal or physical conduct, including, but not limited to, racial or ethnic slurs, flirtation and crude remarks, designed to threaten, intimidate or coerce a member, employee, or guest of Writers Club.



Unfortunately, no pets or animals are allowed in the Writers Club space unless required as a Service Animal.



In the event that any provision or portion of this TOU is determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, in whole or in part, the remaining provisions of this TOU shall be unaffected thereby and shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
